here's more of my Estrella project, i reposted some stuff here so its altogether. i changed the main character's name from Irene to Estrella because it makes more sense and the story has a lot to do with stars.

its about a young girl recently moving from mexico to a small town in america. she's unhappy because she doesn't know much english and can't seem to make friends, she even writes her name as Esther to try to blend in. one day its raining and she's missed the bus so she has to walk home. while daydreaming and walking home, she falls through a puddle and starts her journey in an upside down land.

i started doing some stuff for a personal project for fun, its about a girl named irene and she meets some strange creatures like the starcatcher and a cute pet dog. stars like socks so the catcher uses them as bait so theres some little socks in there haha. im still thinking about the names and stuff, but these are some fun thumbnails i did for them

okay i did two internships this summer soo that was pretty busy but it was fun, i interned at Sony Online Entertainment and another video game studio in socal. here's some art i did for them

these are for for my other internship, not SOE, yeah these are supposed to be cute/weird lol. i haven't done really cute and colorful stuff like this so it was really fun :D i looove cute things :3

oh and i also made them all "dirty" like worn and rusted because they're supposed to be decals and go on walls and stuff so i posted some dirty versions

first character for lou's character design class, i chose a version of the Sky Maiden which is a eastern folklore and this character is called the "Spider" and weaves the web connecting heaven and earth.

i have a class for figure drawing digitially. we finally did our first session last week for figure drawing on the wacom in Lou Police's class , it was pretty fun, i've never done gestures on the computer so it was really different. took me a while to get used to but yeah.

these ranged from like 3 to 10 min.

Friday Gesture Workshop

these are some of my drawings from the friday gesture workshop at LCAD, it was my first time going and it was really fun! the model was good, the first poses were nude, and then she put on a ballerina outfit so that was pretty cool because we never have costumed models in class. haven't gestured for awhile, was sooo fun!

these were done on newsprint with charcoal. the poses ranged from 30 sec. to 10 min.
